Types of Transmission Work

Some consider transmission fluid exchange to be a preventive maintenance Service, while others categorize it as a minor Repair. This involves draining the automatic transmission fluid and replacing it with new, clean fluid. This can be helpful, but be aware that it leaves behind a certain amount of aged, dirty fluid. On the other hand, a transmission flush pumps fluid in while draining it out. Therefore, all contaminated fluid is removed before the new liquid is put in. This can help remove tiny amounts of trash in the fluid. However, be aware that once metal shavings are present in the fluid, a flush will not eliminate the trouble. A transmission rebuild allows you to keep your car’s original unit. We’ll disassemble and clean the unit, replacing all worn or broken parts, gaskets, and seals. Finally, a transmission replacement entails installing a new (usually remanufactured, with a warranty) unit.
